Thank you so much for making our Bachelorette Pary such a success. Karen and Stan Jr. were fabulous. Everyone had a great time, especially the bride-to-be who experienced sea kayaking for the first time that day. You made it a very memorable experience. Thanks again. I’ve included a tip for Karen and Stan Jr. I’ll send you some pics when I finally get them developed.

I just wanted to drop you this message in sincere appreciation for the excellent trip that you offered me on Saturday past.
I have to say simply that I had a blast!!!! It was great, it really gave me a new perspective on the landscape and natural setting of our beautiful wildlife and natural areas of the coast. As for a new perspective I have to say that I now look at Sea Urchins in a new different perspective, since deciding to try a bit of their insides, along with several other paddlers who trusted the guides who were offering us this delightful looking stuff placed elegantly on the end of a paddle.
Speaking of your guides, I have only to say that they were the best. Having seen and interacted with a lot of different tours which are offered in this region in all areas of tourism, your staff are at the top of my list. They were; informative, friendly, knowledgeable and most of all trustworthy, which made me and others I’m sure feel in a environment that is new and unpredictable to most.
I give you my sincere gratitude and thanks for taking me out for a tour and will keep you in mind whenever anyone asks about kayaking in this region. Good luck with the rest of the summer, and I hope to see you around.

I wish to nominate Stanley Cook Jr. as a recipient for the Silver Puffin Award.
August 2006
As you may know, Stan is currently president of the Tourism Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. In his role as president and in his daily life he is a seemingly tireless advocate for the tourism industry in its many aspects.
On a recent exploration of the province, Stan was one of the first persons, apart from airport personnel, to greet my wife and me on our arrival. This he did with enthusiasm and graciousness and in so doing well reflected the welcoming spirit and genuine friendliness of the people we met on the Avalon peninsula.
He introduced us to the East Coast Trail and guided us on several hikes on the trail that he had specially chosen for our interest. His knowledge of the Trail, its history and its features is boundless in scope and passionate in presentation.
Stan is profoundly proud of the local culture and introduced us to the inviting atmosphere of the dinner theatre in Ferryland as well as including us in a family picnic where we were made to feel very much at home.
His familiarity with the B&B accommodations in St. John’s guided us in choosing a charming residence while we explored the city.
Stan, together with his father Stan Sr. operate Stan Cook Sea Kayaking and offer varied kayaking and hiking ventures, where caring, safety and ecological concern for both land and marine life are stressed.
Here is a man who clearly enjoys his vocation and takes pride in promoting the very best that the province offers.
Persons like Stan Cook Jr. certainly encourage others to enjoy visits to Newfoundland and Labrador and enthusiastically welcome them when they arrive.
In my opinion he is a most worthy receipting of the Silver Puffin Award.

Stan,

I tried to put the photos in order of start from paddle to the end. As you will see, the end of the day was majestic! I look forward to seeing the photos in “National Geographic”. Some of the water pictures are of porpoises and a minke whale in the distance. The ripples of the water were all that I caught. I will be back in the near future for a “closer look”.
Thanks again,

Everybody’s got Crocs now! The orange ones were tempting but they clashed with my bright orange “Stan Cook Adventures” T-Shirt. Thanks so much for a truly memorable week for all of us. We will return, and we hope to see some of you down here. I’ll get Bruins tickets!
Thanks again,

Thank you for setting up a wonderful kayaking tour for us.
We had a splendid time and were very impressed with your guides. They were terrific.
You and your family deserve a ton of credit for both putting wilderness tourism on the map in NF and setting the standards.
Thank you again.

On behalf of John, Phillip, Philippa, Linda, Al & myself I would like to express our hearty thanks for a suburb hike on July 22. What a gorgeous coastline & perfect day. We are so glad that you thought our hiking prowess need to descend the “cliff” for lunch. Four stars to Nancy on the sandwiches, gingerbread and brownies too.
We felt so blessed to have such a great time and appreciated all the information that you shared with us. Thought you might like this picture of yourself with some happy hikers.
Thanks again for a great day.

I just wanted to thank you again for the great kayaking tour.
Cape Broyle is spectacular and your tour there is equal to the scenery. I was impressed by the personal approach you take in introducing people to the features of the area and your helpful attitude on how to deal with the kayaking part as an initiate.
You’ve got a great product and if I can get the photo tour together for next year you’ll definitely be seeing me again.
Sincerely,
